The project is located on the north (Indiana) end of the Corps’ Markland dam, which is a federal facility and thus not part of the licensed project. The Markland dam is a concrete gravity structure spanning the Ohio River between the States of Indiana and Kentucky at river mile 531.5, which is 3.5 miles downstream of Warsaw, Kentucky.

The Corps operates the Markland dam primarily for navigation.

Duke Energy Indiana owns the license for the project.
