The project is located at river mile (RM) 70 on the Oswegatchie River in the town of Fowler, St. Lawrence County, New York. The Project consists of an existing 16.7-foot-high, 185-foot-long, concrete-capped timber and earth fill gravity dam. The project creates a 250-foot-long bypassed reach.
The license for this project is accompanied by a Settlement signed by Hampshire Paper, New York Department of Environmental Conservation, U.S. Department of the Interior, and the New York State Council of Trout Unlimited.
