This project was formerly known as the Tapoco project. It is located on the Little Tennessee and Cheoah Rivers in Graham and Swain Counties in North Carolina, and Blount and Monroe Counties in Tennessee.
The project consists of four developments: Santeetlah, Cheoah, Calderwood, Chilhowee.
Part of the project occupies lands within the Nantahala National Forest administered by the US Forest Service.
